Avery Greenburg is a high schooler at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Los Angeles, California.

When the pandemic started, she realized she wanted to live more in the moment, so she decided to start her ceramic journey. Since then, she has completely fallen in love with this art form.

Ceramics teaches me patience, challenges me artistically, and allows me to use throwing as an outlet for my emotions. My goal is to create art that makes others happy while also creating pieces that I am proud of.

I have also gotten to use ceramics to reconnect with my Korean culture. My pieces allow me to showcase Korean food I cook in an artistic and delicious blend with my pottery. Photography of some of my cooking is featured below.
